Division 2 Rules – 2021

 

Tractor Year: 1970 AND OLDER

Age of driver: Age of driver must be of age that will enable them to operate the tractor in a safe and proper manner. Those under 18 years of age MUST have a parent/guardian insurance waiver, good for the season, on file with OSATPA

 This Division is designed for competitive pullers with near stock tractors.

Classes: 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7500#

Tires

 15.5 x 38 maximum in all weight classes under 5000 pounds.  16.9×34 maximum in weight classes 5000 pounds and higher.   No larger than 229 sq. in. Tires (2016); TOP CUT TIRES ALLOWED. NO RADIALS. NO DUALS. NO STEEL WHEELS.

Rim Size:

Any width rim allowed. Pressed steel wheels are allowed front and rear. Aluminum front wheels allowed.

 Speed:

 Any gear, not to exceed 3 MPH. Speed checked by radar. No shifting of TA’s.

Weights:

Suitcase weights and custom made weight brackets are permitted. Front end weight bracket and weights not to extend further than 11 feet from the center of the rear axle. Back weights may not extend past the rear wheels. Stops on the ends of the weight brackets no closer than 4 inches to the rear wheel. All weights to be secured to tractor using 1 inch ratchet type fasteners, pinned, or bolted.

Engine:

 Tractor engine must be stock or engine must be from original manufacturer and bolt in without modification using existing bell housing and motor mounts. Must be naturally aspirated. Exceptions: Oliver 99 GM, etc.  Frames, transmission, rear end, and axle housings must be original or manufacturer replacement. Dual exhaust not allowed except after stock manifold. Electronic ignitions will be legal.

RPM’s:

 20% margin of error will be permitted.

Hitches/Draw Bars :

 Draw bars must not exceed 18 inches in height or be less than 18 inches from the center of the rear axle. Hitch material cannot be thinner than ¾” and not thicker than 1.25”. Hitch has to a 3.75” hole with 1” material thickness around the hole or a straight clevis bolted or pinned tightly to the drawbar with a minimum of 3.75” hole. Top of hitch adjuster cannot be above center line of axle or hub. Hitches and drawbars must be stationary in all directions. Hitches or drawbars cannot be moved when pulling down the track.

Appearance:

 Tractors should maintain original stock appearance. If a part is not found in the manufacturer’s parts book, it cannot be used with the exception of weight brackets, hang on weights, wheels, rims, hubs, draw bar, muffler, and air cleaner. Battery boxes may be moved from stock mounting location. Fuel cells allowed in lieu of factory located fuel tank. Side shields allowed. Side Shields must be easily removable to allow tractor to be tech’d. Any seat subject to safety standards. Alternators allowed.
